Standardized Testing

What is a better waste of time than standardized testing? Adults always complain about kids playing on their phones but its fine to shade in bubbles for 3 hours. Yep that’s exactly what I thought. It is bad enough that we sit in school for about 7 hours. I think it is screwed to tell someone, let alone a hormone filled kid, that their future depends on how they do on a pointless test. I know one of the very few people who will read this is going to say,”But the tests let us know how the teachers are teaching”. First off you don’t start sentences with “but” according to my English teacher. Secondly you are going to judge a teach on the performance of students? Half of the kids in my school think tests like the PSSA’s are pointless, and it doesn’t effect their grade, so why try on them? Its all a big fun game until some teacher gets in trouble because all of their students don’t give two shits about things that don’t effect them.
